Appeal against a ticket for entering LEZ and ULEZ zones

LEZs and ULEZs are low emission areas located within London. Entry to them is charged year-round for all vehicles that do not meet the regulatory requirements. In the case of the ULEZ, the exception to this rule is Christmas Day.

To avoid a financial penalty, you must pay a fee to enter or, if your car does not exceed acceptable emission standards, register it in the appropriate zones.

However, if you happen to fail to complete these formalities and receive a fine, we will help you prepare an appeal against the fine. Quick and skillful completion of the form will increase the likelihood of cancellation of the fine.

Appeal against the mandate of BALM, formerly BAG

The Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility, or BALM, can issue you a fine within Germany. Such fines in international transport are the result of non-compliance with the regulations in the country of our western neighbors. You can receive a BALM fine, for example, for:

  • Breach of driver working time rules,

  • Exceeding acceptable noise or emission standards.

Regardless of the reason for receiving a fine, you may choose to appeal a fine abroad. If it was issued wrongfully, we will provide you with support in asserting your rights.

Border Force Accreditation

The UK Customs Border Force can impose a fine of up to £2,000 for each illegal immigrant found in your vehicle or trailer. That's why, when carrying out transports within the UK, it's a good idea to obtain Border Force accreditation. This is an effective way to avoid such a penalty for transports carried out in the UK. By obtaining the certificate and following the appropriate procedures, you can minimize the risk of receiving a penalty in transportation.

To receive accreditation, you must:

  • Prepare documents in accordance with Border Force guidelines,

  • Apply safeguards against illegal immigration in your company,

  • Organize training for employees on internal security procedures,

  • Draw up an application for a certificate.

We will be happy to help you achieve all of these goals, so your company's chances of obtaining accreditation will increase significantly. On the other hand, if you receive a fine for transporting illegal immigrants, you have a chance to have it canceled. After reviewing the case, we will prepare an appeal of the fine abroad and contact the relevant authorities on your behalf.

What is Border Force service accreditation?

The Border Force Civil Penalty Accreditation System was created by the British Border Force. The main goal of the program's creation was to reduce the risk of receiving a fine for transporting illegal immigrants. How is this premise implemented? Well, companies certified under the Civil Penalty Accreditation Scheme must have effective systems in place to prevent illegal immigration.

A carrier with Border Force accreditation is obliged to take into account the guidelines of the British authorities when performing routes within the UK. In addition, it is obligated to, among other things:

  • training of employed drivers on internal procedures,

  • equipping the fleet of vehicles and drivers with appropriate safety features,

  • verify vehicles and drivers and check the degree of adherence to procedures,

  • keeping a record of completed inspections in the form of checklists,

  • enforce compliance with precautions.

Implementing all security measures and having proper documentation are key steps to reduce the likelihood of receiving a hefty fine.

Border Force-accredited shipping companies may not even be fined if immigrants are found on board, as long as they are operating within the guidelines of the programme and the driver and his employer can prove that they have taken the required precautions. Being certified does not mean there is no penalty if the driver has not followed the guidelines.

Ways to get Border Force accreditation

The opportunity to obtain Border Force accreditation is available to all freight forwarding companies carrying out transportation between Europe and the UK. To obtain the certificate, it is necessary to demonstrate that:

  • company has an effective security system in place to prevent immigrants from entering the UK,

  • The carrier ensures that the security system is working properly, such as by training drivers and verifying compliance with security procedures.

How do you get accreditation?

Preferably with the help of entities specializing in obtaining such accreditation, which have experience in this. Deciding on the advice of lawyers who specialize in obtaining the certificate can greatly facilitate the course of all procedures. Specialists can, among other things, prepare the required documentation, conduct driver training, implement the necessary security measures and help properly structure the application for accreditation.

We will be happy to help you achieve all of these goals, so that your company's chances of obtaining accreditation will increase significantly.

On the other hand, if you receive a fine for transporting illegal immigrants, you have a chance to have it canceled. After reviewing the case, we will prepare an appeal against the fine abroad and contact the relevant authorities on your behalf.
